Concert by Logan Richard, supporting Tenille Townes, at the Casino Nova Scotia.
Logan Richard is playing at Casino Nova Scotia on Thursday, January 28, 2027, where he'll be opening for Tenille Townes. The show is at The Bruce Guthro Theatre, 1983 Upper Water Street in Halifax.
Richard is a Charlottetown-born and based artist and session player who works across blues, indie and pop. He picked up the guitar as a pre-teen, hit the stage at 12, and has spent more than a decade building a following as both a solo artist and an in-demand live and session player. He cites Stevie Ray Vaughan and John Mayer among his influences and draws on the fiddle-playing tradition of his Acadian mother's family.
That background explains a lot about where his sound comes from. The blues and pop side of things points toward the guitar-driven work of Vaughan and Mayer, while the Acadian fiddle tradition brings in a distinct East Coast thread. It's a combination that sits comfortably across the genres he works in—blues, indie and pop—rather than sticking to just one.
