
A live music concert series featuring local Halifax artists Émilie-Rose and Birkenhead in the North End.
Émilie-Rose and Birkenhead are playing Live on Agricola this Friday, August 21, from 7 to 9 PM at 2537 Agricola Street, the Carlo Auto parking lot in the North End. It's part of the Live on Agricola concert series, which returns every Friday evening throughout the summer to various venues along Agricola Street, bringing together local artists and the community. The series was created in partnership with Open Mic House Halifax, and its format ranges from an open mic crawl, with sign-ups and RSVPs open to all performers, to billed shows by Halifax-based musicians.
Émilie-Rose is a singer-songwriter from Almonte, Ontario, who has been living, writing and playing in Halifax since 2019. She blends a soulful voice with folk songs and sings harmonies in the Taylor Jade band. Birkenhead is the stage name of Ryan Napier, a Halifax-born songwriter known for his complex fingerstyle guitar playing, understated vocals and introspective songwriting.
