Concert by the folk-country singer-songwriter Lisa Richard at the Halifax Waterfront.
Lisa Richard is playing the Halifax Waterfront on Friday 28 August, a night that puts her folk-country songwriting front and centre. She's performing as the Lisa Richard Band, so she'll have her full group with her rather than playing solo.
If you're not already familiar, Richard writes in that folk-country vein where the songs usually carry their own weight. The set will be built around her own material, and with the full band behind her, those songs get a bit more lift than they would on an acoustic guitar alone. It's a straightforward bill: she's the main feature, and the night is built around her set.

As for the logistics, the show starts at 19:00 at the Halifax Waterfront, 5050 Salter St, in the heart of the waterfront area. It's a Friday night, so it's an easy one to work around if you're coming from the office or heading in from across town. The venue is right on the water, so if you've got some time before the music starts, there's plenty of room to wander along the boardwalk first.
