Josée Champoux and Andre Pettipas are playing The Carleton on Wednesday, September 2, as part of The Road to Giantstock. It's a pairing of two Nova Scotia singer-songwriters who tour North America and are returning home ahead of Giantstock Festival.
Champoux is an Antigonish native who blends country twang with rock grit, known for a commanding voice and a bubbly stage presence. She's lived in Nashville for nearly three years, has released three songs and a duet with Miles Balley, and studied at the Holland College School of Performing Arts and Berklee College of Music. Pettipas is the charismatic frontman of Andre Pettipas and The Giants, who plays more than 130 shows a year and was named the 2026 ECMA Entertainer of the Year. He's also the driving force behind Giantstock, an annual festival in Merigomish, Nova Scotia, that showcases emerging artists.

On the night, the two trade songs, stories and laughs in a homegrown country-rock show. It's a seated show, with tickets at C$22.80 (C$20 plus HST). The set runs from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at The Carleton, 1685 Argyle Street in Halifax.
