Feral Friday returns to Backlot HFX on Friday, September 11, with an 80s edition. The night is built around the hits of the decade, and the hosts encourage you to turn up in your best 80s outfit. Doors and music open at 10 PM, and pop-up drag performances run throughout the night from 10:30 PM.
The line-up features X, Brooke Rivers, and Trinity Foxx, with Beef Pattie also on the bill and DJ Zara Matrix on the music. X (they/them) is a Halifax-based visual artist who uses drag as their medium, working as a performer and show producer to explore gender, fashion, performance and persona. They've been producing under that name since 2018 and have performed across eastern Canada. In 2022, the Coast named them one of the top seven best drag performers in Halifax, and that same year they tied for best Nonbinary Burlesque artist in Canada at Imperial Burlesque Canada.

It's a 19+ night, so keep your ID handy. Backlot HFX is at 2103 Gottingen Street, and there's free parking available. The music starts at 10 PM, and the drag performances run from 10:30 PM through to 2 AM.
