Concert by the Halifax band Donair Supply at The Lower Deck, covering pop, rock, Celtic and country styles.
Donair Supply are playing The Lower Deck on Saturday, October 24, with the set starting at 9:30 PM. They're a Halifax band, and they've been playing together for more than 25 years. Along the way, they've served over a million Paddy Murphy's, which gives you a fair idea of the kind of rooms they're used to.
Their repertoire is wide. They pull from the 70s, 80s and 90s for pop and rock, and they don't stop there: Celtic, country, hair metal, Canadian, dance pop, traditional folk and pop country all fit into the same set. It's a broad sweep of styles, and they describe it as an East Coast band's take on the lot. If you're into the mix of pop and rock from those decades, you'll find plenty of that, and the Celtic and folk elements bring in the local sound they've carried for over two decades.
