International DJ and producer DJames, known as the King of Blends, performs live at The Dome in Halifax.
DJames plays The Dome on Sunday, August 2, as part of a six-date tour running from July 31 to November 8. He's known as the 'King of Blends', a nickname that points to what he actually does: mixing Afrobeats, Amapiano, Dancehall, Hip-Hop and international club sounds into a single set. The sound is rooted in African and Caribbean music, and the whole thing is built around the blend rather than any one genre taking over.
He's a multi-award-winning international DJ, producer, curator and music editor, and the credits back that up. He's worked with Drake, The Weeknd, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, Victony, Stefflon Don and Chris Brown. He opened for Drake and The Weeknd's UK Tour, programmed and DJed for Asake's live show, and was crowned Red Bull 3Style UK DJ Champion. He's also played the first ever Major League Baseball game in Europe before a crowd of 65,000 and worked with brands including the NBA, Hennessy and Chanel.
