A substance-free drag and burlesque show celebrating Pride with a sober dry bar and mocktail shop, third year in a row.
Crystal Queer returns to North Endurance on Thursday, July 23, for a sober drag and burlesque show. It's the third year in a row they've put this on, and it's built around a simple, specific premise: a Pride celebration in a substance-free environment. If you're looking for a way to mark Pride month without the usual bar scene, this is exactly that.
That substance-free side isn't just about what's missing. The night features a sober dry bar, the Soberish Mocktail Shoppe, which serves non-alcoholic canned beer, other canned beverages, and handcrafted mocktails. It's a full bar setup, just without the alcohol, so you've still got something in your hand while you watch the show. The drag and burlesque take centre stage, and the whole thing is geared toward people who want to celebrate Pride on their own terms.
