Celtic on the Harbour live at Stone's Throw Patio

Wendy MacIsaac takes the stage at Stone's Throw Patio on Tuesday, July 28, as part of the Celtic on the Harbour series. It's an outdoor spot on the Halifax Waterfront, and she's the featured artist for the night.

If you've been following the series this summer, you know how it works. It's a weekly showcase of Nova Scotia's Celtic musicians, with a different act taking the lead every Tuesday. MacIsaac is one of several East Coast artists on the bill this season, alongside the likes of Mairi Rankin and The East Enders. The whole thing runs through September 1, so this is one of the later dates in the summer run.

For context on the rest of the line-up, the series kicked off on June 30 with The East Enders, followed by Luke Levy on July 7, Pretty Archie on July 14, and Brooklyn Blackmore on July 21. After MacIsaac, the schedule continues with Mairi Rankin on August 4, Michael Lloyd on August 11, The East Enders returning on August 18, The Corbies on August 25, and Rachel & Darren closing things out on September 1. It's a long stretch of different voices, so if you're into the scene, there's plenty to pick from over the coming weeks.

Stone's Throw Patio is the outdoor terrace at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel, at 1919 Upper Water Street. It's dog-friendly, has ocean views, and a gluten-free menu. The music is part of the restaurant's wider summer offering, which includes 16 local craft beers on tap, elevated seafood dishes, and a C$6 daily happy hour. Executive Chef Ted Pace, a Halifax native with over 30 years in the kitchen, runs the menu.

Admission is free, though reservations are recommended. The music runs from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
