Carleton Stone returns to his namesake Halifax venue to celebrate the release of 'Midnight Rose', his fifth album, with a seated concert.
Carleton Stone is back at The Carleton on Sunday, October 18, for a seated concert to mark the release of Midnight Rose, his fifth album. It's a homecoming of sorts — Stone shares his name with the venue, and this is his first time playing there since the record came out.
Midnight Rose is a collection of Americana, pop and rock that follows 2022's Papercut, which got a fair bit of critical attention. Stone produced the new one alongside Howie Beck, and the credits read like a who's who of the East Coast scene: Kayleigh O'Connor (Baby Nova), Jason Collett, Dylan Guthro, Gordie Sampson and Brad Roberts of Crash Test Dummies all had a hand in it. It's a big, collaborative record, and this is one of the first chances to hear it live.
Beyond his solo work and his time with Port Cities, Stone has spent a lot of his career working behind the scenes. He's written for Donovan Woods, Ria Mae, Matt Andersen and Bobby Bazini, and has produced for Willie Stratton and CBC Searchlight winner Maggie Andrew. He also recently spent six major tours supporting the Crash Test Dummies, so he's coming off a long stretch of playing large stages before stepping back into a room like this.

The show runs from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, and tickets are C$30 plus HST, which comes to C$34.20 including taxes.
