Open-mic and jam session for musicians of all genres, with prizes and drink specials at the Crown Royal stage.
Band's Night Out is back at Rox Live on Thursday, October 15, for another open-mic and jam session. It's one of three dates this autumn, with the others falling on October 1 and October 29, so if you can't make this one, there are two more coming up later in the month.
The night is split into two halves. The first part is dedicated to twenty-minute open-mic slots, where musicians can get up and play their own thing. The second half opens up into a full-band jam on the Crown Royal stage, which is where the night really shifts: that's when players can meet one another, make connections, and play together. It's open to musicians of all stripes and all genres, so you'll likely hear a fair mix of styles in a single evening.
If you're planning to play, there's a bit of gear to keep in mind. House gear is on hand, but there isn't a bass, so anyone wanting to play one needs to bring their own. Drummers only need to bring their breakables. Beyond the music, the night hands out prizes and runs drink and food specials at the bar.
