A night of live music featuring an open mic and jam session for musicians of all genres at Rox Live.
Band's Night Out is at Rox Live on Thursday 30 July, a night built around live music, connection and good vibes. It's an open mic and jam session that welcomes all comers and all genres, so it's as much for the people playing as for the people watching.
The format is straightforward: the stage is open to anyone who wants to step up. Whether you sing or play guitar, bass, drums or keys, you can take a turn, and if you're not looking to hold the spotlight on your own, you can jump in and jam with whoever else is up. Because it's open to all genres, the sound of the night depends on who shows up โ one set might lean folk, the next rock, and the one after that something entirely different.
That's the point of a jam session like this: it's about musicians coming together rather than a fixed line-up. If you play, you can bring your own thing or find a group to fit into. If you don't play, you're there for the music, which changes as the night goes on.
