Angelique Francis is a Juno and Canadian Blues award winner, a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter whose work pulls from blues, soul, folk, Americana, jazz, gospel and rock. She's shared the stage with Buddy Guy, Gary Clark Jr, Joe Bonamassa, Eric Gales, Keb' Mo', Beth Hart, Tom Cochran, Burton Cummings and Sugar Ray, and her smoky vocals draw on the legacy of Big Mama Thornton, Koko Taylor, Aretha Franklin and Bessie Smith.
Her latest album, Not Defeated, features Grammy winners Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram and Eric Gales and earned eight 2026 Canadian Blues Music Award nominations, an American Blues Music Award and a Canadian Folk Music Award for song of the year. Before that, Long River won the 2023 JUNO for Blues Album of the Year. The band were named Performers of the Year by Folk Canada and have toured the Grolsch Blues Festival in Germany, the Sighisoara Blues Festival in Romania, Massey Hall and the Montreal Jazz Festival.

Tickets are C$30 plus HST, which comes to C$34.20 including taxes. The show runs from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm at The Carleton in Halifax.
