Indie Americana singer Aaron MacDonald returns to The Carleton with a hand-picked band for a roots-oriented set blending dusty rock, folk grit and country soul.
Aaron MacDonald is back at The Carleton on Saturday, October 10, with a hand-picked band for a seated listening show. It's a return to the venue for the Mabou-born singer, who's been releasing material since 2009 and was named one of CBC Music Searchlight's Top 100 Artists of 2021.
MacDonald's songs pull from long roads, hard lessons and the bright chaos of family life, blending dusty rock, folk grit and country soul. He's a veteran rocker and a heartfelt songwriter, and this set leans into the rootsier side of his writing, with room for both stripped-back moments and full-bodied drive grounded in grit, warmth and strong musicianship. He'll be joined by a lineup of seasoned players he's put together himself, rather than a touring band.
