Home-opener major junior hockey game between the Halifax Mooseheads and the Cape Breton Eagles at Scotiabank Centre.
Cape Breton take on the Halifax Mooseheads at the Scotiabank Centre on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. It's the home opener for the Mooseheads, Halifax's own major junior hockey team, and it kicks off their 2026-27 home schedule, which runs through March 20, 2027.
This is the first of the home games for the season, and the schedule is built around themed nights. Over the coming months, that includes Country Night, 90s Night, a Mascot Birthday, a Toy Drive, New Year's Eve, Moose Fight Cancer, and Fan Appreciation Day. This opener sets the pace for the rest of the run.

Tickets are tiered by bowl and age. In the lower bowl, adults are C$22-C$30, youth 12 and under C$12-C$22, seniors 60 and over C$20-C$28, and students with a valid ID C$12-C$22. The upper bowl is slightly cheaper: adults C$22-C$28, youth 12 and under C$12-C$18, seniors 60 and over C$20-C$24, and students C$14-C$18. Doors open an hour before puck drop, and the schedule is subject to change.
