The Halifax Tides FC are back at home this Saturday, October 17, taking on Montréal Roses FC at the Wanderers Grounds. Kick-off is at 3:00 PM, so it's an afternoon game rather than an evening one, which is worth keeping in mind if you're planning your day around it. The match is part of the 2026 Northern Super League season, which runs from late April to late October and gives each team 25 games to play over the course of it.

Tickets are the first thing to sort. The cheapest option is The Splash general admission grandstands, which start at C$25.56 for all ages, while reserved seating in the grandstands comes in at C$34.34. Beyond that, there are group tickets, premium suites, flex packs and group experiences if you're bringing a crowd. Season passes and individual tickets both go through the official Halifax Tides FC website, and if you're a CAA Atlantic member, there's a 15% discount on single game tickets in grandstand sections 102 to 106, which you can claim online with your membership number.
The venue itself is the Wanderers Grounds at 5819 Sackville Street, a 6,500-seat natural grass stadium sitting downtown between Citadel Hill and the Halifax Public Gardens. It's partially accessible and wheelchair accessible, so it's worth asking the team for specific accessibility details if you need them before you head down. The Tides are the first professional women's soccer club in Atlantic Canada, founded in 2024, and the stadium is already eyeing a C$40 million upgrade to bring it up to 8,500 permanent seats.
On the pitch, the Tides are led by head coach Stephen Hart, who took over on 30 June 2025, supported by first assistant Katie Barrott and second assistant Sophie Clough. The squad is a real mix of nationalities, with goalkeepers Rylee Foster, Anika Tóth and Samantha St. Croix; defenders Naya Cardoza, Sheyenne Allen, Annika Leslie, Julie Pedersen, Éva Frémaux and Julianne Vallerand; midfielders Julia Benati, Karima Lemire, Cho So-Hyun, Kat Jordan, Sarah Taylor, Synne Moe and Megumi Nakamura; and forwards Saorla Miller, Jordyn Rhodes, Sydney Kennedy, Tiffany Cameron and Stella Downing. The opposition, Montréal Roses FC, was founded in July 2023 by Isabèle Chevalier and Jean-François Crevier and is managed by Robert Rositoiu, with captains Tanya Boychuk and Mégane Sauvé. Their colours are black, blue, gold, red and white, with the blue rose as their symbol.
If you want to make a day of it, there's a CBC Fan Appreciation experience running alongside the game. The activation area opens at 5:30 PM with a 360° video experience, trivia and a chance to meet CBC Montreal journalist Kwabena Oduro. You can even get into a prize pack draw — a CBC-branded soccer ball, a jersey and exclusive seats in the CBC Zone — by tuning into CBC's All in a Weekend from 6:00 to 9:00 AM on the 17th and 18th. CBC Sports is also carrying the game across CBC TV, CBC Gem and the CBC Sports YouTube channel, so you can catch it there if you can't make it in person. The club's independent fan group, The Beacons, will be there in force, sporting the team's ocean cyan, granite purple and moonlight grey colours.
