The Halifax Tides FC are back at The Wanderers Grounds this Saturday, October 17, taking on Roses de Montréal FC at 3:00 p.m. AST. It is a Fan Appreciation matchday presented by Toyota, so the club has layered on a fair bit of extra activity around the game. Gates open at 2:00 p.m., warm-ups start at 2:15, and kickoff is at 3:00, so there is a full hour to settle in before the whistle.

Tickets start at C$27 and climb for premium seats, available through Ticketmaster and the Event Tickets Center, which runs as a secondary resale marketplace. The game-day box office opens 90 minutes before kickoff, and the gates open 90 minutes before as well. Will Call is at the Summer Street entrance, and you will need a valid government-issued photo ID to collect tickets. A couple of things worth knowing before you go: re-entry is not permitted once you leave the grounds, and children two and under get in free if they sit on a lap.
Parking is the one area where it pays to plan ahead. Official sources list only local parking options around The Wanderers Grounds, but for this Fan Appreciation match, there is C$10 parking at Garrison Grounds. Once inside, the matchday is built around the fans. Drinks run two for C$16 all game long, with C$5 cocktails at the Black Harbour Bar. There are free samples from North Brewing and a free caramel apple from NS Loyal, plus a Tides Pool backdrop for photos, a 360 photo booth and prizes at the CBC area, and Toyota RAV4 cheer points. After the game, autographs are handed out in The Splash for the Player of the Match. For families, the IWK Foundation Care and Comfort Yurt near Gate H and the Jawslyn General Store is a low-sensory space with baby amenities, quiet lighting, soft seating and weather protection.
There are a few rules to keep in mind. Umbrellas and strollers are not allowed inside on match days, and bags are inspected at the gate. Bags larger than 14 by 14 by 6 inches, outside food and drink, coolers, chairs, bikes, skates, skateboards, scooters, shoes with wheels, helmets, non-service animals, frisbees, drones, laser pointers, aerosol cans, illegal drugs, weapons, fireworks, smoke bombs, and noisemakers like airhorns, whistles, cowbells, horns and drums larger than 20 inches are all off the list, along with large flags and banners, signs with religious, political or provocative content, visible sponsor branding, professional cameras, tripods, selfie sticks and monopods. The club also asks that you leave the pitch alone and keep things respectful.
For context, the Halifax Tides FC are the first professional women's soccer club in Atlantic Canada, playing in the Northern Super League, the top level of the Canadian soccer league system. The club was founded in 2024, with its brand unveiled at a downtown Halifax launch on June 13, 2024. The Wanderers Grounds is a 6,500-seat pop-up natural grass stadium tucked between Citadel Hill and the Halifax Public Gardens at 5819 Sackville Street, and the club is pushing for a C$40 million upgrade to permanent stands for 8,500 seats. Courtney Sherlock is CEO and co-founder, Val Malone is club president, Ruth Fahy is vice president of football, and Stephen Hart took over as head coach on June 30, 2025.
