If you are looking for esoteric supplies or tarot readings in Halifax, The Neighbourhood Witch General Store offers a wide selection of products and services. Originally opened in 2015 by owner Pamela McInnis—a former NASCAD student who previously worked at the historic Little Mysteries shop—the store spent years on Queen Street before relocating to 1663 Barrington Street. This location puts it right on one of downtown's main avenues, housed in a heritage building from the late 19th century.

Inside, you will find an eclectic mix of metaphysical and lifestyle goods. The inventory ranges from tarot decks, colorful candles, and essential oils to dried herb bundles like lavender, mugwort, and sage (with the store distinguishing between smudging and smoke cleansing). They also stock cast-iron skillets and cauldrons in various sizes, locally made jewelry, and themed items such as enamel pins, stickers, patches, and customizable accessories.
Beyond retail, the store offers daily in-person services including tarot readings, palmistry, tea leaf reading, and aura reading. Experienced readers, including long-time local reader Nerissa, handle these sessions. Pamela McInnis also co-owns a small partner reading space nearby called Broom Closet Tarot (located above Put Me On! at 1526 Queen Street) alongside her mother, Joey Robinson, catering to tarot, rune, and astrology chart consultations.
The Neighbourhood Witch General Store is open seven days a week from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. While you can browse their offerings in person on Barrington Street, they also maintain an online presence on Instagram and Facebook, shipping retail products across Canada.
