Dundee alt-rock artist Theo Bleak brings her atmospheric sound to Cottiers Theatre in Glasgow.
Theo Bleak plays Cottiers on Sunday 8 November, bringing her atmospheric sound to the West End. Theo Bleak is the stage name of Dundee-based alternative artist Katie Lynch, whose work pulls from alt-rock, emo and indie folk, held together by introspective songwriting and poetic lyrics.
She debuted with the release Fragments and has since built a following across the UK and international live circuits, playing Brighton's The Great Escape and New York's New Colossus Festival. Her discography includes the EP Bad Luck Is Two Yellow Flowers and the mixtape Bargaining. Throughout 2026 she's continued to put out new music, including a reimagined version of The Waterboys' 'We Will Not Be Lovers'.
Lynch describes her work as more than just making music: an exploration of human darkness through the lens of nature and empirical sentiments, with each piece offering a moment of introspection and a chance to reconnect with the world and with oneself. It's a good summary of where the songs sit — the alt-rock and emo side provides the weight, while the indie folk keeps it grounded and close to the voice.
