The Brian Finnegan Band brings his blend of traditional Irish music and contemporary folk to Celtic Connections 2027 at Oran Mor.
The Brian Finnegan Band play Òran Mór on Friday 29 January, as part of the Celtic Connections festival. Finnegan is known for his flute and tin whistle, and he builds his sets around melody, rhythm and atmosphere — the kind of music that feels rooted in tradition but keeps moving forward.
He's a founder member of Flook, the band that helped redefine modern folk by pairing tight instrumental interplay with original compositions and adventurous arrangements. His live shows strike a balance between technical brilliance and emotional depth, so you'll hear the precision he's built up over years of playing alongside the more expressive, melodic side of his work. The night is billed as The Brian Finnegan Band plus support, so there'll be an opening act before he takes the stage.
