The Bathers perform songs from their classic 9 album back catalogue, featuring The Sirenesque String Quartet.
The Bathers are playing Cottiers in Glasgow's West End on Wednesday 28 October, and they're bringing The Sirenesque String Quartet with them. It's a two-night run, with a second show on Thursday 29 October, so you've got a choice of dates if one doesn't suit.
The set is a look back rather than a new chapter. They're drawing from their classic nine-album back catalogue, which means the songs will be pulled from across their whole recording history rather than just the latest record. With the Sirenesque String Quartet on stage, those songs get a different arrangement than the versions you'll know from the albums.
It's a particular way of doing things: the band performing their own songs with a string quartet backing them. If you've followed them since the early records, it's a chance to hear those older tracks played out in a different setting. If you're coming to them later, it's a good way to get a feel for where they've come from.
