Wyoming pop-punk mainstays Teenage Bottlerocket headline Stereo Glasgow as part of their UK tour.
Teenage Bottlerocket play Stereo Cafe Bar on Monday 16 November, as part of their UK tour. They're the only name on the bill for the night.
They're a pop-punk band from Laramie, Wyoming, and they've been at it since 2000. The two names you'll hear most when they're mentioned are the Ramones and melody, and that's a fair summary of the sound: short, fast songs with big choruses. They've spent more than two decades playing that particular brand of pop-punk, and they've built a following around records released through labels like Red Scare, Fat Wreck Chords and Rise Records.
For a long time, the band was a family affair. It was founded by twin brothers Ray and Brandon Carlisle, with Brandon on drums. When Brandon died in 2015, the band decided to keep going as a way of honouring his legacy, and they brought in Darren Chewka to take over on drums. Ray Carlisle is still at the front, and the Ramones-inspired pop-punk they've always played is still the thing they're bringing to the stage.

The Glasgow date is one stop on their UK tour, so they're playing the same set across the country. It's a Monday night, which puts it right in the middle of the working week rather than the usual weekend slot. The gig starts at 7pm at Stereo Cafe Bar, 20-28 Renfield Lane, Glasgow City Centre G2 6PH.
