Steven Lindsay returns to the stage at Cottiers Theatre, performing songs from his new album and classics by The Big Dish.
Steven Lindsay returns to the stage at Cottiers Theatre on Thursday 5 November, his first Glasgow date since playing The Poetry Club the previous month. It's a solo bill, with Lindsay handling both the music and the spoken word.
The set draws from two different eras. He'll be playing songs from his new album, so you'll hear the latest material alongside classics by The Big Dish, the band he fronted. It's a mix of the new record and the older songs that people know from his time with them, and he'll be weaving spoken word into the performance as well.
Cottiers is a historic building in the heart of Glasgow's West End, and the theatre inside is part of a larger site that includes a restaurant and a bar. The room seats 206, set against stained glass and ornate timberwork, with a black interior suited to certain types of drama. The bar is highly decorated, with a terrace barbeque in the summer, and the first-floor restaurant features shimmering gold ceilings, original salvaged church chairs and handcrafted gilt mirrors overlooking an illuminated church steeple and mature gardens.
