A tribute band paying homage to Simple Minds' iconic rock hits at Cottiers Theatre.
Simple Minded are playing Cottiers on Friday 5 February 2027, a tribute to Simple Minds. They describe themselves as more than a tribute act: a heartfelt homage to Scotland's most successful musical export. Formed in Scotland in 2008, they've spent nearly two decades building a following as one of the premier tribute bands in the UK and Europe, playing festivals, theatres and venues across the country and beyond, and earning acclaim for their authenticity, energy and attention to detail.
The setlist spans four decades of Simple Minds' rock hits, from 'Don't You (Forget About Me)' and 'Alive and Kicking' to 'Waterfront' and 'Sanctify Yourself', and they aim to faithfully recreate the sound and atmosphere of the band's legendary live shows. It's a broad run of songs that reaches back through the different eras of the original band's career, so you'll hear the big 80s singles alongside the earlier, more post-punk material.
