Kris Drever and Cahalen Morrison combine their talents for a special Fallen Angels Club show at Cottiers, blending traditional folk and modern acoustic music.
Kris Drever and Cahalen Morrison play Cottiers on Thursday 4 March 2027, a special Fallen Angels Club show. It's a pairing of two musicians who come from very different places but meet on common ground: Drever from the Orkney Islands, Morrison from the high desert of Northern New Mexico. Between them they cover guitar, banjo, mandolin, and singing, and they describe themselves as 'musician's musicians' working at the intersection of traditional folk and modern acoustic music.
Drever is known for his warm voice, virtuosic guitar playing, and imaginative songwriting, and he's one third of the award-winning trio Lau. Morrison is equally at home on guitar, banjo, and mandolin, a captivating singer and a poetic wordsmith. Both were releasing new albums in 2026: Drever's Doing this for love and Morrison's The Rolling Thunder of The Sea, so there's fresh material coming into this one.
