Irish comedian Jimeoin brings his sublimely funny new tour to The King's Theatre as part of the International Comedy Festival 2027.
Jimeoin brings his new tour, BALLYHOO!, to the Kings Theatre on Saturday 13 March 2027. It's a stand-up show, just him on stage, and it forms part of the International Comedy Festival 2027, so it's one of several comedy acts playing across the city that month.
If you're not familiar with him, Jimeoin is an Irish comedian who left his native Northern Irish town of Portstewart and settled in Australia more than a decade ago. He's spent the years since delivering sell-out tours to record-breaking audiences over there, and he's built a reputation as one of live comedy's masters. His style is cheeky and no-gimmicks, with an occasionally surreal sense of humour that takes a sharp aim at the absurdities of everyday life. It's the kind of comedy that doesn't rely on a prop or a character—just a person talking and finding the funny in the ordinary.
He's worked his way into the mainstream over the years, with online clips and television appearances that have reached hundreds of millions of fans. You'll likely recognise him from Live at the Apollo and The Royal Variety Performance. The critics have been on board too: The Scotsman called his work "stand-up comedy at its best", and the London Evening Standard likened him to a "stand-up David Attenborough", which gives you a fair idea of how he observes the world around him.
