Glasgow Light Opera Company presents the classic musical 42nd Street at The King's Theatre, featuring dazzling tap routines and glittering costumes.
GLOC are back at The King's Theatre Glasgow with 42nd Street, running from Wednesday 21 October to Saturday 24 October. It's their latest return to the venue, following their productions of Legally Blonde, Footloose and Rock of Ages.
The show is set at the height of the Great Depression and follows Peggy Sawyer, an aspiring chorus girl who arrives in New York City with dreams of making it big. She gets her shot at stardom when the leading lady of a brand-new musical breaks her ankle just before opening night. The staging is built around dazzling tap routines, glittering costumes and a score that includes 'We're in the Money', 'Lullaby of Broadway', 'Shuffle Off to Buffalo' and 'Forty-Second Street'.
