Indoor family Halloween party transforming the centre into The Witch's Lair with interactive science, hands-on activities and Halloween surprises.
Glasgow Science Centre is bringing back its indoor Family Halloween Party on Friday 30 October, from 6pm to 9pm. For the night, the whole centre is transformed into 'The Witch's Lair', a domain where strange experiments bubble in the laboratory, ancient tales echo through the library and powerful spells come to life before your eyes. It's the return of the venue's legendary indoor party, spreading across three floors of interactive science, hands-on activities and Halloween surprises, with costumes encouraged.
The programme is pitched at all ages, so you can pick and choose what works for your lot. There's a Spellcasting School at the Science Show Theatre and a Mission to Titan in the Planetarium. For the little ones, there's Spooky Storytime in the Witch's Library, aimed at ages five and under. If you're more into making things, there's a Cosmic Potion Brewing craft workshop, and Monster Magnets to take home. For those who don't mind getting their hands a bit dirty, the witch's laboratory has grizzly heart and lung dissections on the go. The cafe will be serving treats and warming drinks throughout the night, which is handy when you've got kids to keep fed.
