Critically acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Fionn Regan brings his headline tour in support of his album Berlin, Berlin to the Cottiers Theatre.
Fionn Regan plays Cottiers on Tuesday 9 March, part of his headline tour for the new album Berlin, Berlin. It's his first Glasgow date in a while, and the set will be built around the new record, which comes out on 22 January 2027.
Berlin, Berlin is Regan's eighth album and his first on Cormorant Bird, a label he launched in partnership with Secretly Distribution. The opening track, 'Hurricane Bruise', is already out, so you'll recognise that one. He describes the record as a darker, more nocturnal twin to 2024's O Avalanche — city-minded and full of winter light and night skies, recorded in East London in five or six days. If you've got O Avalanche on your shelf, that should give you a good sense of where this one sits.
It's a long career that stretches back to 2006's The End of History, which was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize. Since then, he's put out 100 Acres of Sycamore in 2011, and 'Dogwood Blossom' from that record found new audiences through the shows Normal People and This Is England '86. Cillian Murphy starred in the video for 2017's 'The Meetings of the Waters', Bon Iver has sampled his work, Annie Leibovitz photographed him for Vanity Fair, and he was made an honorary member of the Trinity College Literary Society. He's always been a songwriter who keeps to himself, but the work has reached a fair few places.
