Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dylan LeBlanc performs live at Cottiers Theatre, with support from Barbara Forstner.
Dylan LeBlanc plays Cottiers on Sunday 22 November, with support from Barbara Forstner. The night is presented by The Fallen Angels Club.
LeBlanc is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who describes himself as a vagabond tossed between Texas, Louisiana and Alabama since he was a boy, thriving on the precipice. That drifting, Southern-rooted background sits right at the heart of his writing. His album Cautionary Tale is a collection of shimmering songs with haunting vocals and a sharpened edge honed by hastened maturity. It's the kind of record that draws a lot of attention from the music press: MOJO and Q both said it shocks with unexpected new ground, and UNCUT gave it 8/10. Hearing those songs live is the best way to get a proper handle on them.
It's a singer-songwriter set, so the focus is on the voice and the songs. LeBlanc handles the instruments himself, and the support comes from Barbara Forstner. The whole thing is presented by The Fallen Angels Club, and all ages are welcome, though under-16s need to be accompanied by an adult and it's not suitable for small children.
