Coinneach MacLeod, the Hebridean Baker, launches his seasonal collection of recipes and crafts in a book talk and signing session.
Coinneach MacLeod, better known as the Hebridean Baker, is at Waterstones Sauchiehall Street on Tuesday 17 November, launching his latest book, A Scottish Christmas. It's a seasonal collection of hearty comfort food, dishes for when you've got unexpected guests, sweet treats and handmade crafts, all drawn from the traditions of his Hebridean home. If you're already thinking about your Christmas spread, it's a good place to start.
The evening is built around the book rather than a formal lecture. MacLeod will be talking about the pleasures of Christmas and the traditions that shaped his upbringing in the Hebrides, and he'll be signing copies of the new title alongside his earlier work, The Hebridean Baker: The Scottish Cookbook and The Hebridean Baker: Recipes and Wee Stories from the Scottish Islands. It's a chance to hear the stories behind the recipes and pick up the books in person.
