58th annual model railway exhibition with layouts and traders.
The Cathcart Model Railway Exhibition returns to Pollokshaws Burgh Hall on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October, the 58th running of the show. It's put on by the Clydeside Model Railway Club, one of Glasgow's oldest, founded back in 1958 and a member of the Association of Model Railway Societies in Scotland. They run the exhibition every October at the hall, and they're also heavily involved in Model Rail Scotland, which takes place each February.
Inside you'll find layouts to look at and traders with stock to browse. The club's own room usually displays club layouts, like Abbey Cove, an end-to-end OO layout built with two separate lines: a harbour line that can be run on analogue or DCC, and an elevated section line. Earlier this year, the club showed its Bains Reach layout at Model Rail Scotland 2026, where it picked up a visitor accolade.
The venue itself is a Glasgow South Side hall, and the club describes the show as a great place to visit for all ages, with or without a family.
