Exhibition celebrating the life and legacy of Agatha Christie, with workshops, tours and talks. Free, drop-in event.
Agatha Christie: A World of Mystery opens at The Mitchell Library and Theatre on Monday 26 October, and it's on view right through until Saturday 23 January 2027. It's a celebration of the life and legacy of the bestselling novelist of all time, and the way she shaped crime literature as we know it. The exhibition draws on her best-loved characters, including Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, to trace her influence on the crime writers working today.
It's housed in The Mitchell Library, one of Europe's largest public libraries, with more than a million items of stock. The building has been a Glasgow landmark since it opened in 1911, known for its distinctive green dome, and it's home to the Mitchell Theatre and the Herald Café Bar as well. The exhibition is just one part of a wider programme running alongside it, which includes workshops, exhibition tours, talks and family-friendly activities.

Because it runs until late January, there's plenty of time to fit it in. Entry is free and it's a drop-in event, so you don't need to book a ticket in advance—you can just turn up when it suits you. The Mitchell Library is on North Street in Glasgow City Centre, G3 7DN.
