Themed wine-tasting evening of six sherries led by wine writer Isobel Salamon, with nibbles from the Port of Leith Kitchen.
Leith Wine Club is back at the Port of Leith Distillery on Saturday 7 November, this time focusing on sherry. It's part of the distillery's series of relaxed, themed wine-tasting nights, and this one is organised by the distillery itself.
The evening is led by wine writer Isobel Salamon, who'll walk you through six different wines. It's not just a sit-and-sip affair, either: there are nibbles from the Port Of Leith Kitchen to go with the tasting, and arrival and after drinks in the bar are included in the ticket. If you're not usually one for a formal tasting, the whole thing is built around the club's more laid-back approach, so it's as much about the company as the wine.

It runs from 5:00pm to 7:30pm, two and a half hours in total, so you've got plenty of time to work through the glasses and hang out in the bar before and after. The distillery is at 11 Whisky Quay, EH6 6FH, and the session is for ages 18 and over. Tickets are £54 for general sale.
