Two-day improvisation masterclass led by Pierpaolo Buzza of Impro Brussels, with sessions 'Modernising Film Noir' and 'The Heart of the Scene'.
Pierpaolo Buzza is coming to Summerhall for a two-day improv masterclass on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 February, running 10am to 5pm each day. The weekend is split into two sessions, Modernising Film Noir and The Heart of the Scene, and it's framed around emotional truth and the darker side of human nature.
Buzza is an Italian professional improviser, director, author and actor now based in Belgium. He's the Artistic Director of Impro Brussels, the country's largest English-speaking improv school, and he founded the Brussels Shuffle, the city's first international English improv festival. He's been working full-time on stage for nearly two decades, with a background in scripted theatre and playwriting that feeds into his teaching. His approach blends narrative precision, deep character work and genre improvisation, and critic Ramona Depares has called him 'a real master of this craft'.
