Cocktail Craft Masterclass

Summerhall Distillery is running its Cocktail Craft Masterclass every Friday from 23 October 2026, with sessions continuing through to 15 October 2027. It's held at Pickering's Gin, inside the distillery's space at 1 Summerhall Place, Edinburgh EH9 1PL.

The class is led by the distillery's own bartenders, who take three cocktail classics and give them their own twist. Each session works with a different rotation of drinks, so you'll get a different set depending on when you book. Along the way, you'll walk through mixology techniques, how to balance flavours, and the basics of putting together your own signature cocktail. There's also a chance to shake up one yourself, alongside three drinks and some snacks to keep you going.

The setting is part of the draw here. Pickering's Gin sits within the Old Veterinary College, which now houses the wider Summerhall arts centre. It's a proper distillery space, so you're learning in the environment where the spirits are actually made rather than a random function room. The whole thing is for over-18s.
