A weekly farmers market featuring fresh produce, food, drink and lifestyle vendors with live music in a festive atmosphere.
University Hills Farmers Market is back at Wellshire Presbyterian Church this Saturday, October 17, from 9 AM to 1 PM. It's part of a season that runs every Saturday from May 9 through October 31, so if you've been meaning to swing by, there are still a few weeks left before it wraps for the year.
This is the market's ninth year, and it's settled into a new home at 2999 S Colorado Blvd, at the corner of Colo Blvd and Amherst Ave—about three blocks from where it used to be. The food is still the main draw, making up around 65% of the mix. Fresh produce anchors the whole thing, with Palizzi Farm in Brighton and Forte Fruits in Palisade bringing in the harvest. Around them, you'll find a blend of food, drink, and lifestyle vendors, so it's as much about filling the fridge as it is about picking up a few things for the house.

It's not just a quick stop for groceries, either. There's live music and a festive vibe that makes it easy to hang around for a while rather than just rushing through your list. If you're coming by car, there's plenty of free parking and easy access, which takes some of the stress out of a Saturday morning run. The market runs from 9 AM to 1 PM, so you've got a four-hour window to work with—plenty of time to grab your produce, browse the other stalls, and catch some music. It's open every Saturday through October 31, so you can make a habit of it for the rest of the season.
