A rock concert by The Smashing Pumpkins on their The Rats In A Cage Tour, featuring a 30th-anniversary set of Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness and a career-spanning journey through their hits.
The Smashing Pumpkins bring The Rats In A Cage Tour to Ball Arena on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The Denver date is part of a North American leg running from September through November, and it's built around two separate sets. One is a celebration of the 30th anniversary of Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness, the 1995 RIAA Diamond-certified double album. The other is a career-spanning journey through nearly four decades of hits, deep cuts and fan favorites. Frontman Billy Corgan says he's been talking about staging a Mellon Collie-themed show for more than a decade.
The anniversary has been a long-running affair. This year saw a deluxe vinyl reissue of the album, a staging by the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and culinary collaborations with Vosges Haut-Chocolat and Erewhon. The band also headlines Lollapalooza in their hometown on July 31, their first appearance there in over 30 years. The tour is one of the most ambitious live shows they've put together, with the two sets splitting the night between that one record and everything else they've done since the early nineties.
