The Jungle Giants perform live on their Experiencing Feelings of Joy tour, with opening act Morning Silk at Globe Hall.
The Jungle Giants bring their Experiencing Feelings of Joy tour to Globe Hall on Friday, October 9. It's a Brisbane band led by Sam Hales, who writes and produces the group's material and adopted his trademark falsetto after hearing Bon Iver on the radio. He's spent fifteen years across two globetrotting dance acts, and the current lineup adds guitarist Cesira Aitken, bassist Andrew Dooris and drummer Keelan Bijker. Together they've put up close to a billion streams worldwide, an ARIA number one with 'Love Signs', and a reputation for lighting up festival stages from Latitude to Outside Lands and Corona Capital.
This stop is part of the tour for their fifth studio album, Experiencing Feelings of Joy, and the lead single 'Tell Me How it Feels' signals a new era for the band. Opening the night is Morning Silk, the York City project of producer and multi-instrumentalist Frank Corr, whose 2023 EP Dark City Silence fuses lush synths, heavy guitar and big drums. Between the two, you'll get a full night of indie dance from Australia and synth-driven work from the UK.
