The Jack Wharff Band, from Richmond, Virginia, blend bluegrass, country and rock in a live concert at Globe Hall, presented by KBCO.
The Jack Wharff Band plays Globe Hall on Wednesday, October 14, with Ian Harrison opening. The band comes from Richmond, Virginia, and they describe their sound as a blend of bluegrass, country, and rock.
Frontman Jack Wharff grew up around bluegrass through his father's band, The Slack Family, and started writing his own songs in his teens. The group came together in 2023 when Wharff met drummer Garrett Howell and bassist Ryan Atchison at an open mic night in downtown Richmond; they added guitarist Evan Novoa later. They first gained traction by posting original songs to TikTok and Reels—tracks like 'Picture Perfect', 'Washed', and 'Burnin' It Down'—which led to a record deal with Big Machine Records and a move to Music City.
Wharff is 21 now, and this stop is part of a 13-date debut headline tour he's taking out next year. Outside of these headlining dates, the band is playing Tortuga Fest, Tailgate N' Tallboys, Wild Trails Festival, C2C Europe, Bulls, Bands and Barrels, and select dates of Ole 60's Smokestack Town '26 Tour. The Globe Hall show is presented by KBCO.
