Tabletop Game Night

RISE Comedy is hosting a Tabletop Game Night on Tuesday, November 10, from 6 PM to 9 PM at the Hideaway, their space at 1260 22nd St in Denver. It's a drop-in Dungeons & Dragons one-shot, which means you just show up and play a single, self-contained adventure in one evening rather than committing to a long-running campaign. DMs Eli Hebl and Jorge Soto are running the tables.

If you've never played, this is a good place to start. Every game is D&D 5th Edition, and they provide everything you need to get going—pre-made character sheets and dice are both on the table, so you don't have to spend hours building a character or buying your own gear before you arrive. No prior experience is necessary, and you don't need to bring a thing.

It's worth keeping in mind where this is happening. RISE Comedy puts on a wide range of Denver comedy shows several nights a week—improv, stand-up, sketch, musical comedy, and variety shows—and they offer gift cards and comedy classes on the side. Their local improv performers are all from Denver and Colorado, and they've trained and performed across the country at venues like Groundlings, iO West, Camp Improv Utopia, Annoyance Theater, and Second City.

The night is all ages until 10 PM, and 21+ after that, with ID required. Admission is pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of $5.
