Rock band Switchfoot performs live with support from Anberlin on their Forever Now Tour at the Ogden Theatre.
Switchfoot are playing the Ogden Theatre on Thursday, October 15, as part of their Forever Now Tour. They're not alone for the night: Anberlin is on the bill too, so you'll get two bands in one evening.
If you're not familiar with them, Switchfoot is a San Diego quintet with a career that stretches back more than 20 years. They've put out ten albums, sold millions of records, and picked up a GRAMMY along the way. There's even a documentary about them called Fading West if you want to see where they come from. After a hiatus in 2017, they returned with their eleventh record, Native Tongue, which they produced themselves with Brent Kutzle of OneRepublic. That one features Kaela Sinclair of M83 on vocals for "The Hardest Art."
Frontman Jon Foreman describes the album as being built around his philosophy of pursuing joy, and the band points to a wide range of influences, from Queen and ELO to the Kinks. The lineup on stage is Jon Foreman on vocals, Tim Foreman on bass, Chad Butler on drums, and Jerome Fontamillas on guitar.
