Annual Halloween parade with community-built floats along South Broadway in Denver, a tradition of neighbours, artists and families.
The South Broadway Halloween Parade returns to South Broadway on Saturday, October 17, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's a Denver tradition that's more about the neighborhood than a professional production: the floats are built by neighbors, artists, and families rather than being walking advertisements, and they're described as labors of love. The route runs along South Broadway from Fifth to Virginia avenues, so you can pick a spot and watch the whole thing pass by.
It's part of a wider stretch of Halloween and Día de los Muertos celebrations across the metro area, which the city groups together. If you're looking to fill out the rest of your October, it sits alongside other 303-area experiences like Elitch Gardens' Fright Fest, BOOnion Station, Ghosts in the Gardens at the Denver Botanic Gardens, and the Munchkin Masquerade at the Pearl Street Mall. The Campos Foundation is the headlining sponsor this year.

Once the parade wraps, the South Broadway Halloween Bar Crawl takes over, and the proceeds from the crawl go toward supporting the parade itself. It's a free event, so you can just show up and watch.
