Indie rock band Slow Caves performs live at Lost Lake Lounge in Denver, with support from Dogs on Shady Lane.
Slow Caves play Lost Lake Lounge on Sunday, November 15, with Dogs on Shady Lane opening. It's a Denver homecoming for the indie rock trio, who formed in Fort Collins, Colorado.
The band is built around Danish-American brothers Jakob and Oliver Mueller and their childhood friend David Dugan. They spent a decade playing in high school bands before solidifying this lineup in 2014, and they cut their teeth in the Denver scene long before they ever left the state. They signed with Old Flame Records and put out the EP Desert Minded in 2017, followed by the double A-side picture disc Poser/Rover.
From there, they toured extensively and played SXSW and Treefort Music Festival, opening for Third Eye Blind, Cake, Rooney, DIIV, Cold War Kids, The Kills and Modest Mouse. Their debut album, Falling, came out in the spring of 2019 after they recorded with producer Chris "Frenchie" Smith at The Bubble in Austin. After a break from the stage, they returned to live performances in 2024.
