René Moffatt, a Colorado singer-songwriter, performs live at Swallow Hill Music, opening for Lemongrass.
René Moffatt plays Swallow Hill Music on Friday, March 12, 2027, opening for Lemongrass. He's a Colorado-based Americana singer-songwriter, born and raised among the boomtowns of North Texas. He calls himself a "late bloomer," and the songs he writes lean on the lyrics, blending heartfelt Americana with melodic folk-rock and guitar-forward arrangements. People often compare him to Jackson Browne and The Avett Brothers.
He performs with his band, René Moffatt & The Moonshadows, and the group was featured in the inaugural Boulder Roots Music Fest. Moffatt himself was a Finalist in the 2024 Wildflower Music & Arts Festival Songwriter Contest. Alex Dezen of The Damnwells described his song "Stuck Inside" as "equally whimsical and profound."
