A two-day fall festival featuring a pumpkin patch, historic demonstrations, hayrides, and seasonal activities at Four Mile Historic Park.
Four Mile Historic Park hosts its Pumpkin Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, from 10 AM to 4 PM. The festival centers on the site's 1859 farmhouse—Denver's oldest standing building—and turns the grounds into a two-day pumpkin patch with hayrides and living-history programming. You can sample apple cider churros from The Aguilar Four, walk a festival trail of seasonal cocktails and ciders, and watch historic demonstrations by the park's volunteer community, including blacksmithing and beekeeping.
Music and performance run through the Autumn Harvest Community Stage, which the park runs with the Athena Project and is funded by the SCFD. It hosts local artists, dance groups, and bands throughout the weekend. For the kids, there's a Western-themed scavenger hunt, prairie games, and the tradition of building your own scarecrow to take home.
Two new additions make their debut this year. There's an accessible pumpkin patch designed with limited mobility and load-bearing in mind, and a Sensory Station where you can explore history through touch. The park's annual program also includes 'Bright Nights,' an after-dark lantern festival.
