Playtest Tuesday

Playtest Tuesday is back at Fiction Beer Company on Tuesday, October 13, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's a monthly game night held on the second Tuesday of each month at their Denver taproom, and it's built for two kinds of people: board game designers of any experience level and players who want to help test games still in development. If you're a designer, you're invited to bring a prototype at any stage—whether it's a rough set of rules and some index cards or something closer to a finished product. If you just like games, you can spend the evening offering constructive feedback on what's on the table.

That's the core of the night: prototypes on the table and people talking through how they work. It's a low-stakes way to get a game in front of other people and hear what's landing and what isn't, and it's a good spot to see what's being built in the local scene before it ever hits a shelf. You don't need to be a seasoned designer to bring something in, and you don't need to be a critic to help out—just a willingness to play and talk about it.

Fiction Beer Company positions itself as a community hub for readers, writers, gamers and local creatives, and Playtest Tuesday is part of a wider series of taproom regulars. The night sits alongside a writers group, trivia nights, open game nights, a book club and themed events like Vinyl Night and Drag Brunch + Bingo with The Pie Queen.
