Paul Wall plays Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom & Cervantes' Other Side on Friday, January 29, 2027, starting at 8 PM. He's the sole name on the bill, so the whole night is his.

If you're not familiar with the name, Wall is a Houston rapper, DJ, and promoter who built a following as one of the few white Southern rappers to make a real mark on the scene. He rose through Swishahouse Records and the Houston power duo The Color Changing Click, working alongside Chamillionaire. He's also a proficient mixtape and party DJ in the 'screwed & chopped' style that the late DJ Screw invented—that slow, pitched-down sound that defines a huge part of Houston's rap history.

His major-label debut, The People's Champ, gave us the hit 'Sittin' Sidewayz,' and he's appeared on a few other high-profile tracks: 'Drive Slow' from Kanye West's Late Registration, where he worked with GLC, and Nelly's hit 'Grillz.'

Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom is a Denver venue in the heart of Five Points that's carried on the jazz-era legacy of the historic Casino since 2003. It's known for an intimate standing-room atmosphere that keeps you close to the stage. A couple of practical things to keep in mind before you head out: the room is cashless, and bags larger than 12" x 12" aren't permitted. The show starts at 8 PM.
