Country singer-songwriter Paul Cauthen performs live on his 'Book of Paul Tour' at the Mission Ballroom, with opening acts Rootbeer Richie & The Reveille and Tristan Trincado.
Paul Cauthen brings his Book of Paul Tour to Mission Ballroom on Friday, October 9, starting at 8 PM. He's not coming alone: Rootbeer Richie & The Reveille and Tristan Trincado open the night, so you'll get three acts for the price of one.
Cauthen is a country singer-songwriter from Tyler, Texas, who first made a name for himself in the duo Sons of Fathers back in 2009. He learned to sing from his grandfather in a Church of Christ, and that gospel influence still runs through everything he does. He describes his sound as a mix of classic-country grit, gospel power, and a rhinestoned rock edge, all carried by a booming baritone and a near-biblical swagger. He's put out four albums before this one, and the Book of Paul Tour is built around his fifth, Book of Paul, which arrived on April 3.
He's spent plenty of time on the road, touring the world and collaborating with Margo Price, Orville Peck, Cody Jinks, and Lana Del Rey. One of those collaborations, "Last Of My Kind" with Shaboozey, went GOLD and has more than 442 million global streams. Between that and the new record, there's a good amount of material to pull from for a single night.
