Electronic music performance by OTT. with special guests VINJA and A New Bus at the Ogden Theatre.
OTT. plays the Ogden Theatre on Friday, October 16, with VINJA and A New Bus opening. It's a live performance from a producer who's spent a good part of his life tinkering with sound boxes, a habit he's had since childhood. Through the 1990s, he worked as a freelance studio engineer while spending his nights at psychedelic trance parties, and that duality—the technical side of the studio and the dancefloor energy of the scene—is where his sound comes from.
He first stepped out with Hallucinogen In Dub in 2002, followed by his first solo album, Blumenkraft, in 2003. From there came Skylon in 2008 and Mir in 2011. In 2015, he funded a new studio through Kickstarter and released the album Fairchild. Across those records, his work has always sat at the intersection of dub, psychedelic, and downtempo, and that's the territory he'll be working in at the Ogden.
